Gurdwara Manji Sahib situated at Manimajra in chandigarh. Gurdwara Manji Sahib place in the name of Mata Raj Kaur Ji who was the wife of Baba Ram Rai Ji. Mata Raj Kaur was upset from her husband because of this Mata Raj Kaur left Dehradun and shifted to Manimajra. Mata Raj Kaur stayed in Manimajra and started worshiped devotedly to Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji. Number of people started believing and followed Mata Raj Kaur ji when they were watching her as she devotedly and dedicated worship Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. One rainy day, Mata Raj Kaur Ji’s house started collapsed and she asked one of her follower to go to rich man of the town Bhaara Mall and informed about the beam and collapse. But, Bhaara Mall didn’t respond to Mata Raj Kaur Ji. Then Mata Raj Kaur Ji sent another follower of the village to visit to Garibu Jatt. When he was get to knew he provided the truck of the Ber tree placed underneath the beam. Then Mata Raj Kaur Ji asked him to wish. Garibu Jatt revealed his wish that his coming generations become the king and Mata Raj Kaur Ji gave him a boon that they will become kings. Because of that boon, Garibu Jatt became the king and Bhaara Mall had to work under his kingdom.
When Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji came from battle of Bhangani during Samat 1745 Kapaal Mochan via Rani Raipur, reached Mata Raj Kaur Ji’s place in ManiMajra. Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji spent some time with Mata Raj Kaur Ji and told her when ever she calls him, he will surely come for her service. Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji went from Mata Raj Kaur Ji’s place to his followers Saadak Chaudhary, Nihang Khan at village Kotla and reached there on the day of Masseya.

The Sector 16 Cricket stadium of Chandigarh has a good ranking among stadiums in India. This stadium can host both ODI’s and Test matches. Currently this stadium is managed by Haryana Cricket Board.
The only cricket stadium in Chandigarh is the one located in Sector 16 cricket stadium Chandigarh adjacent to Rose Garden. This stadium lost its charm after PCA stadium in Mohali was built. No first class cricket match was played here after that. The first match was an ODI played here in Jan 1985 and one Test match in year 1990. So far only four matches were played in Sector 16 cricket stadium Chandigarh. The National players like Kapil Dev, Chetan Sharma, Yograj Singh (father of Yuvraj Singh) Played at Sector 16 cricket stadium Chandigarh. Then PCA (punjab Cricket Association Stadium) in Mohali stole its attraction. Now all the first class cricket matches are played on on PCA stadium. As of now in last 10 years there is no first class cricket match played on this ground.In Oct 2007 India and Australia played a match in Sector 16 cricket stadium Chandigarh.This stadium came in to lime light once again in 1992-93 when Haryana Cricket board host a ODI match between India and England. In this match India won by 5 wickets.
