Chandigarh University is set to host a two-day technology community gathering on 23 and 24 October 2026, bringing together Cloud Community Days, the Code for Communities hackathon and DevFest Chandigarh. The programme is organised by GDG Cloud Chandigarh and is aimed at developers, students, engineers, founders and others interested in cloud computing and applied AI.

The official Cloud Community Days website describes a community-first conference covering cloud, DevOps, AI and machine learning, with keynotes, breakout sessions, hands-on labs and networking. The wider weekend adds a hackathon on 23 October and DevFest sessions on 24 October.

What is planned

The organiser’s Code for Communities event page says participants will build projects using open-source AI tools and open-weight models, with themes including AI agents, orchestration, agent frameworks and practical software development. The page describes mentor support, team-building, project demonstrations and judging.

Cloud Community Days: practical sessions

The official agenda highlights keynotes, breakout sessions and hands-on labs around cloud platforms, DevOps and AI/ML. Topics listed include Kubernetes, serverless systems and MLOps.

Who should attend

The event is aimed at engineers, DevOps practitioners, students and people exploring data or AI. Newcomers can use the networking and mentor sessions to meet local developer groups.

Cloud Community Days is scheduled for 23 October, while DevFest follows on 24 October. Check the agenda for session times and room details.

Cloud Community Days lists Kubernetes, serverless, MLOps and AI/ML among its featured areas. Sessions are intended to connect practical engineering with community learning.

Registration details, any applicable ticket fee and remaining availability should be confirmed with the organisers before booking. Different activities may have separate entry conditions, so review the details for each part of the programme.

Because the programme spans two days, check whether your registration covers one event or more than one. The related activities may have separate schedules and entry requirements, so read each confirmation carefully.

Participants planning to join the build activities should bring a laptop and arrive with a project idea or a willingness to collaborate. The organiser says teams can form in advance or on the day.

The event website lists reporting from 9:30 AM, a keynote at 10:15 AM and networking later in the afternoon. Check the live agenda for session-level details.

For DevFest, GDG Cloud Chandigarh says the programme will feature seven speakers, mentorship and a showcase of projects created for community challenges.

The audience includes students, working engineers, founders and curious learners. Attendees can use the sessions to compare approaches, ask questions and meet potential collaborators.

For students, the event can be a chance to learn how professional teams approach real projects. For working practitioners, it offers a way to hear local perspectives and connect with peers outside their usual workplace.

Why it matters

Community-led technology events help circulate practical knowledge beyond individual companies. They can also make it easier for students and early-career developers to find mentors, discover local groups and understand which skills are being used in real projects.
