The Yellow Diary Brings Its ICWF Tour to Diablo, Chandigarh

TricityEvents

Chandigarh’s live music calendar has a big October entry. The Yellow Diary, one of Indian pop-rock’s most-streamed live acts, is bringing its ICWF Tour to Diablo, a venue the city’s nightlife crowd knows well.

A Band Built on Feeling

The Yellow Diary is a Mumbai-based pop-rock outfit. Its lineup is Sahil Shah, Stuart Dacosta, Rajan Batra, Harshvardhan Gadhvi and Himonshu Parikh. Their appeal comes from Hindi lyrics about love, longing and memory set over guitar-driven, melodic arrangements. That mix has made them a fixture on streaming playlists and a reliable draw at live shows across the country.

The numbers back this up. The band played more than 60 shows across India last year and crossed 150 million streams across its catalog. For an independent act singing in Hindi, that kind of reach shows a loyal audience that turns up and sings along.

What the Tour Is About

The ICWF Tour is also billed as the In Case We Forget India Tour 2026. It runs from August to October, opening in Bangalore on August 29 and covering 12 announced cities, with more dates expected. By the time it reaches Chandigarh, the band will have played Gurgaon, Jaipur, Indore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata. That should mean a tight, road-tested show.

The tour comes with a new live production and a refreshed setlist, and for the first time fans will hear all nine songs from the band’s latest project performed together. The older material is still there. Tracks like Marz, Buniyaad, Roz Roz, Kahe Kahe, Rab Raakha and Mujhe Mere Naam Se are expected. If you’ve followed the band for years, you’ll hear the songs you know alongside the new project.

The Chandigarh Show

Diablo is an indoor venue, and the Chandigarh show is standing-only. That should suit a crowd that wants to be close to the stage and sing along. Here’s what ticketing pages list:

  • Price: tickets start at ₹999.
  • Age: entry is for guests aged 18 and above, and the event is not suitable for kids.
  • Language: the show is in Hindi.
  • Duration: listed at 2 hours and 59 minutes in total. That is probably the whole evening, including openers and changeovers, rather than the band’s set alone.
  • Pets: not allowed.

The date needs a caution. Listings disagree. The band’s own Linktree puts Chandigarh on October 23 and Dehradun on October 24. But Shazam lists Dehradun on October 23 and Diablo Chandigarh on October 24. Bandsintown’s Chandigarh page also shows Saturday, October 24 at 9 PM. Since the two cities are only a few hours apart, the order may have changed after the original announcement. Check the official ticketing page or the band’s Instagram before booking travel or hotels.

Why It’s Worth Going

Chandigarh and the wider tricity area have a young, music-hungry audience. Live shows there often sell out because the options are limited, and a band with the Yellow Diary’s streaming reach draws people from Mohali, Panchkula and the neighboring towns. Tickets for this show have been flagged as selling fast on Bandsintown.

Pop-rock suits a venue like Diablo. These songs work best in a packed room, with phone lights up and the chorus carried by the crowd. The band’s slower, more reflective numbers should be a good contrast to the louder ones.

Tips for the Night

  • Book early. Standing shows at popular venues tend to sell out, and the late-October weekend slot makes this one more likely to.
  • Check the date and doors. Confirm which night it is and when doors open, since the 9 PM start on some listings differs from the afternoon time on another.
  • Carry valid ID. The 18+ rule is typically enforced at the door.
  • Plan your ride home. A late finish means arranging transport in advance, especially if you’re coming from Mohali or Panchkula.
  • Learn the new songs. With the whole latest project being played live, it helps to have heard it first.
